The Coffee County Gun club was established back in the 1960’s and has served our community with a long history of providing a safe environment for locals citizens to exercise our 2nd amendment rights. Our club offers the increasingly rare opportunity to sight in deer rifles, and safely practice shooting with pistols, rifles and shotguns. With our motto of "Pass it On" we have a strong focus to grow our members and guest into safe and educated shooters.
We Currently have a 300-yard rifle range, a 150-yard rifle range, 50-yard pistol range, a “barrel town” where we hold defensive pistol shoots to simulate shooting inside a house/building.
The club also offers a skeet range, bathroom, and office building. The entire club is monitored by a state-of-the-art security camera system to ensure safety. The bylaws and rules are centered around a family friendly safe environment where the fun of shooting can be shared with friends and family. Our motto is “pass it on” and we take that very seriously. The club is located behind an electronic gate to ensure the safety of members and keeping out any and all others that do not have our commitment to safety.
In 2013 we purchased land a track on Highway 135 allowing us to expand and redefine our club. Considerable effort was put forth by our “founding fathers” to purchase and reorganize our club into what it is today.
We would like to recognize the hard work and dedication to our "Founding Fathers". Without these dedicated individuals the club would simply not exist.
Al Lott was president for at least 20 years and held the club together before our "transition". Ed Davis took over as President during the transition and move to our new location. According to our bylaws the board of directors have the responsibility of making our final decision. The following members deserve recognition for enduring long hours of meetings and considerable effort as we purchased land, restructured the administration of he club (including bylaws and rules), ensured financing and oversaw construction of our facilities.
